Toy Stories

Gambar
This is the tale of two toy companies, the nation's number-one and number-two purveyors of playtime fun. The stock of one is on a roll, having outpaced both the overall market and its main competitor this year by a stunning margin. The stock of the other is laboring under last year's lead-paint-related recalls and has an aging marquee product, but it sells for a song. Advertisement - Article continues below Both companies just reported second-quarter results that surprised Wall Street analysts in a good way. So which company's stock, if either, should you buy? That's a tough call. The answer almost depends more on the type of investor you are than on each company's prospects. Investors who'd rather ride the momentum of a stock that has proven itself time and again might prefer country's second-largest toymaker, Hasbro (symbol HAS). Its shares, which closed at $40.41 on July 25, have nearly doubled since mid January. Hasbro is proving that when it comes to th...

Gran buying present for baby on Amazon shocked to find vibrator for sale on children’s toy page

A GRAN buying a present for a baby on Amazon was shocked to find a vibrator for sale on a children's toys page. Sheila Gage, 59, was looking for a birthday present for her 11-month-old granddaughter, Kiera. But her search for "In the Night Garden toys" returned a black 9.7in "hands free" sex toy. The £14.01 gadget was listed alongside children's books and other gifts. Sheila, from Northumberland, complained to Amazon five times since the find on June 13, but said nothing was done. She said: "It's not right that kids could just find it when they're searching for toys. "It was a shock to me, so it would be worse for them. Time After Time Why New Mothers Turn to Mushie for Safe Reliable Baby Products

Gambar
HOUSTON, TX / ACCESSWIRE / June 27, 2020 / Babies deserve the best care we can give them; that's a point just about everyone can agree on. So why isn't the baby industry built with that in mind? Stories about lead or carcinogens in toys come out on a regular basis, and it's easy to wonder: Why are manufacturers building baby products with untested materials? Or materials that could hurt our children? Mushie Feigenson had the same question when she was pregnant with her second child. When she was hunting for baby products, she found that she was uncomfortable with much of the inventory available. Many products had harmful plastics and artificial things she was uncomfortable with. "I had plenty of time to check out baby products because I was stuck in bed with hyperemesis gravidarum for months," she says. "My illness basically kept me from doing anything else, so I got really familiar with all the offerings on the market. And I didn't like any of them....

Strange New Star Wars Toy Lets You Beat Up The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda

Gambar
Toy company Bop It! is releasing a rubber toy in the image of Baby Yoda. The adorable green infant from the Disney+ hit The Mandalorian is becoming available for purchase online and its appeal, like other Bob It! items, lies in its smooth, stretchy surface, which can be twisted and turned in any way the possessor desires. Though designed for stress relief and durability, Bop It! toys have become known, first and foremost, for their indestructibility. Because of this, the internet is marketing this Baby Yoda toy as "punchable" even though neither the company itself nor Disney, which owns Lucasfilm as well as the rights to the character, are doing so. Why would anyone feel the urge to punch the adorable little poster boy for this beloved series, you ask? Well, the answer is implicit in the question. When The Mandalorian first came out, it didn't take long for World's LONGEST Lightsaber

Star Wars: Rare Boba Fett Toy Hits Market at Staggering Price

Gambar
The infamous rocket-firing Boba Fett action figure prototype is up for auction…but it will cost you. With the possible exception of getting to own a living, breathing Baby Yoda, the most exciting Star Wars item for collectors is the rocket-firing Boba Fett. Why? Because the item was never commercially available. As explained in an episode of Netflix's The Toys That Made Us and spoken about with hushed reverence online and at fandom conventions for decades, a figure of the popular bounty hunter who made his debut in the otherwise regrettable Star Wars Holiday Special was announced for sale in 1978 with an incredible action feature — a red rocket that users could fire at other toys, siblings, pets, etc. Unfortunately, around the same time a four-year-old child died after asphyxiating following an accident involving a missile from one of Mattel's Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider toys. The potential of being responsible for a similar accident combined with pu...
